God Suffered To Share Eternity With You

John 1:12
But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.

Christmas isn’t about trees, lights, and presents. It’s not even about “visions of sugar plumbs”. There’s only one message that really matters about the meaning of Christmas.

God values you so much, He sent Jesus to die for you. We’re not just doing time, to one day be dirt for worms. God values you as His child. He was born to die, to offer eternal life to all who will believe. Eternity, with no more suffering and no more tears.

Revelation 21:4
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

The good news about Christmas is that it’s available to everyone.

John 1:12
But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. When you believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins and receive Him into your life as your Lord and Savior, you are His child for eternity. That’s a great Christmas gift.

A heavenly Host appeared to some shepherds to let them know the Messiah had been born in Bethlehem. They were never the same.

Luke 2:16-18
So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.
