Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
How can we possibly experience peace of mind when someone that is so important to us is suffering and isolating themselves. Wouldn’t it be great if we could heal the minds and hearts of the people we love the most? The problem is, we can’t. But if we trust God and His truth no matter how much chaos is swirling around us, we can get to a place of peace and eventually joy. For this to happen it’s important that we don’t trust our feelings. Feelings are very real, but they are not always right.
The enemy will take advantage of every situation, through lies, fear and quilt, to bring us to our knees emotionally, so that we will live as though his lies are true. We need to replace the enemies lies with the truth of God’s word.
John 8:31a-32
Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
When we don’t understand what is happening, we need to commit to trusting God more than our emotions about what is happening. In real time, this is a real challenge. So, lets hold on tight to His teaching and eventually be set free through the truth of God’s word giving us hope that is powerful, present, and eternal.
