The Power Of Hope

The Power Of Hope

In a broken world, how can we have hope?

Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

It’s so easy to look around and become discouraged with humanity. Anxiety and fear can replace hope if we focus on the wrong things and start listening to the lies of the enemy.

Romans 8:35-37
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

Nothing can separate us from Gods love! He doesn’t stop loving his children because of sin. Our Father is the one holding on to us.

Romans 8:38-39
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Hope in Jesus is a powerful truth. Our trouble cannot take away the love of God which is in Christ Jesus. That means we don’t have to live in fear. Instead hope gives us the ability to slow down and take a deep breath, no matter how bad things get.

When other people look at the way you respond to life’s difficulties, do they see your hope or your despair?

What is the Holy Spirit saying to you though these scriptures?
