John 12:12-16
The next day the great crowd that had come for the festival heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem. 13 They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, “Hosanna!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Blessed is the king of Israel!” 14 Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, as it is written: 15 “Do not be afraid, Daughter Zion; see, your king is coming, seated on a donkey’s colt.”
16 At first his disciples did not understand all this. Only after Jesus was glorified did they realize that these things had been written about him and that these things had been done to him.

Artaxerxes came to power in 465 BC.
Zechariah 9:9
Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

That leader will make firm an agreement with many people for 7 years. He will stop the offerings and sacrifices after 3 ½ years. A destroyer will do blasphemous things until the ordered end comes to the destroyed city.”
This 7 years left of Gabriel’s prophecy given to Daniel, refers to a specific time still in our future.
Matthew 24:15-16
“So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel let the reader understand— 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
This 7 year period of global struggle is called the Tribulation. But we aren’t here yet on histories timeline. God keeps His promises. Why the gap?
Ephesians 3:4-6
In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, 5 which was not made known to people in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets. 6 This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.
Why is the Triumphal Entry significant for us?
God put the church into history to keep his promises and to keep His covenants.
